How do I arrange to have my pictures taken?It's easy. Call 570-240-0778 and ask for an appointment to have senior portraits taken. We will ask for some information from you (like your mailing address, phone numbers, school you attend, and when you graduate). We will also want to know to do. You will be required to place a deposit in order to hold your appointment time. This money will be applied to your portrait order after the pictures are taken, but is required at the time you book your session. How far in advance do I have to book my session?It depends on how busy the studio is. During the summertime you may have to book 2 to three weeks in advance. In the wintertime you may get an appointment within a week of calling.
How much does it cost?Currently we do not charge a sitting or session fee, then you only pay for the portraits that are in your package.
Portrait packages start at $259 and go up from there. Our most popular
package is $699 and includes a wall portrait, 2 8x10's, 8 5x7's, and 48
wallets from 3 poses and a folio of 8 additional retouched images. Our
portraits are expertly retouched to eliminate zits and enhanced to bring out
your best features.
Can I use pictures taken by you in my yearbook?
It depends on the school that you go to. Tunkhannock Area School
District have open yearbook policies and allow students to go to the
photographer of their choice. Elk Lake has changed their policy and
provided us with guidelines for yearbook picture publication.
How long does the senior portrait process take?It depends on how busy the studio is. It takes a 1-2 weeks for proofs to be generated once your session is completed. You may take your proofs out of the studio (a deposit is required) for a week or so to show to your friends and family. Then you return to place your portrait order. Our portraits require a considerable amount of hands-on retouching, enhancement and finishing.
Finished portraits are available between 6
to 10 weeks from the time you place your order.
When is the best time to have my senior portraits taken?If you have a yearbook deadline you should allow ample time for us to complete the photos (see above). Otherwise, senior portrait "season" starts the summer between the student's junior and senior year. Summertime is very popular because students' schedules are relatively open and the weather is conducive to outside portraits. However, great outside photos can be created with autumn color well into November. Some seniors choose to have their portraits taken closer to the date of graduation and have them taken in the winter or spring. So, the choice is yours.
